For generations beyond memory, the Hassanamisco Nipmuc Band has governed its people, cared for its homelands, and upheld its responsibilities to our ancestors, to one another, and to the generations yet to come. We are a sovereign Tribe with a government-to-government relationship with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Today, we exercise those responsibilities through strong governance, stewardship and return of our lands, cultural continuity, and investment in our people. Our decisions are made with the next seven generations in mind—protecting what they will inherit and building what they will need to thrive.

Our people and our governance endure. We know who we are, where we come from, and the responsibilities we hold. We govern for the present and for generations we will never meet, but whose future is shaped by the decisions we make today.
